Signs that service may be needed include loss of accuracy beyond 10 seconds per day, difficulty winding or setting the time, or if the watch has stopped running. Our Movement Health Screening can provide clarity without committing to a full service.

The movement is removed from the case and completely disassembled down to individual components. Each part is cleaned in professional multi-stage baths to remove old lubricants and accumulated debris. New lubricants are applied to all friction points according to manufacturer specifications. The movement is then reassembled, regulated in six positions, and tested over a minimum 24-hour observation period. Gaskets are replaced and water resistance is tested before the watch is returned.

Yes, and we approach them with particular care. Our Collector Preservation Service is designed specifically for watches where maintaining originality is paramount. We do not polish cases or refinish dials unless structurally necessary. When parts must be replaced, we source originals through specialist dealers. You are consulted at each decision point, and original parts are returned to you in a sealed envelope.

Movement Health Screening is typically completed same day or next business day. A Thorough Mechanical Overhaul takes 2-4 weeks. The Collector Preservation Service requires 5-10 weeks due to the careful sourcing of original parts and the consultative nature of the process. We provide updates throughout and never rush the work.
